More often than not, a website's only purpose is to provide a means of displaying information. A quick search shows a range of $30 for a low quality website, to $30,000 for a fully fledged web application. That huge range doesn't provide an answer to the person asking the question of "How much should I pay for a website?"

Here at B&D Designs, we aim to provide professional and affordable website services. Our goal is to provide a transparent and competitive pricing strategy right up front. Our prices are listed down below in our Request section. We want you to pick what features/services you need instead of billing you for things you don't use. In order to provide as cheap of pricing as we can, we have gone ahead and created multiple template websites for varying different types of businesses. The idea is to pick one of the templates that best suits your needs, and to use as is without alteration to the layouts. A demo of each can be found below in our Templates section. The templates are all filled with placeholder content to show the layout and flow of that template. Our Portfolio section shows more flushed out examples of the templates in use.

If the current templates don't meet your needs, we do offer custom website/application development as well. The process for custom work begins with the Request, and then we'll schedule a design meeting to figure out your budget and vision. The initial design meeting is a free 2-hour consult, with all meetings and work thereafter being done at an hourly rate discussed during the initial consult.

Below is our pricing model. Transparency is our goal, so we are trying to put all of the different items or services you may require, and what we charge for them.

The most basic purchase would be the "Base Site" and nothing else. In this case, you would be given HTML, minified CSS and minified JavaScript files. If nothing else was purchased, you would be on your own for finding a place to host your site. We also offer complete domain configuration, but urge you to consider doing this yourself (with our help) to get things configured instead of either giving us ownership of your domain or direct access to the settings.

Aside from the initial creation of the site, we offer revisions either as one-time payments or as monthly payments. If you expect to want your content updated or layouts of sections changed relatively frequently (one or two times a month), the monthly payments would be the most cost effective, but do note that unused revisions in a month do not roll over to the following month.

Another popular concept is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). As part of the basic site purchase, very basic SEO is implemented. We ensure all of the functionally important parts of SEO are completed for the HTML elements on each page. We offer our SEO service as either one-time or monthly payments. However, if SEO is a true concern, we recommend the monthly service as proper SEO is a marathon, not a sprint. As part of our SEO service, we use industry standard tools for researching how your site ranks on search engines and different ways we suggest improving that ranking. Our suggestions and then subsequent changes (after your approval, of course), are priced into our SEO service, so you are not charged revision fees for those changes.
